Welcome Home, Blybe

Guess who arrived in the post this morning, all the way from Thailand?

Blybe!
Oh, hello
I haven't quite chosen a name for her yet, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Now, I know Blybe's aren't the best quality fakey's, but I do think they're is something rather cutesy about this doll...

Scalp seam
One of the first things I noticed (after the inital excitement and then shock of her head size) was the blatantly obvious scalp seam along the top of her head. Luckily, this wasn't too shocking as I've done enough research to know what faults come with this little cloney. I've already ordered a wig for her, a few weeks ago in advance. It's black, long, curly and has a fringe, so hopefully she won't look so much like she's been scalped...
'Puhlease fix my hair'
Her hair is, quite frankly, a state. It frames her face nicely, but feels like crap - really, really plastic. Didn't even know that was possible. It's a nice rich colour though.

I think the blue chips are my favourite, I'd to get her some more detailed ones though. She also has a sleepy eye function. I'm not sure if her eyes have been boggled, or need to be (I forget which way round it is) but there is a lot of obvious space between the and the socket, it looks like she's been gouged.

Eye Mech

This is a really disturbing angle, I think.

Overall, she's a cutie. She's got a kind of cheeky look to her, and I can't wait to stick her in some better clothes and give her a face-up which suits her personality.

The dress she came in is much to girly for my likely, and I did thing that her tights were pretty rad...until I saw how badly they were made.

All that said, the seller I bought her off on ebay was actually really nice and helpful, and sent me an extra little dress set and shoes. For so cheap - £23 including shipping to England from Thailand - they're isn't much to complain about.

'Beautiful Girl' - nice homemade label

The dress she came in...

...which broke before I even took it off her.

I don't know if this is the usual, but she came with a strange yellow top on underneath her dress.

Without her dress on, her underclothes make her look a little too tarty for my liking.

'What da fuck is this shit?'

The weirdest thing is that the yellow top can't be removed! It was obviously put on the body before the head was glued - yes, glued- into place. So now the only way I can take it off is to give it the snip. Which I will do, very soon.

I have to admit though, I am very, very happy to finally have her :)
